Feed the Nation—Grand Kru

Feed the Nation Grand Kru was incorporated on January 2, 1997, by a concerned youth group of farmers who had been affected by the Liberian Civil War in Barclayville, Grand Kru. The organization was set up in order to strengthen the efforts of the local farmers in the area of food production and contribute to the resettlement, reintegration and recovery of war-affected farmers in Grand Kru. During the first years of operation Feed the Nation mainly distributed food, tools, seeds, clothing and water and sanitation materials in cooperation with International Donors and carried out a number of awareness trainings, e.g. in the area of HIV/ AIDS and agriculture. Up to the present day Feed the Nation is actively engaged in advocating for the people in Grand Kru.
